As a rule, wedding is the bride and groom’s day to shine. But clearly nobody ever explained that to 4-year-old flower girl Anderson! At her mother’s wedding, she expertly photo-bombed newlywed photo by kissing a little ring bearer!

“I set up the entire wedding party for a formal shot as I do with every wedding, and then asked the bride and groom to kiss,” photographer Leah Bullard told.
“Since Anderson had been calling herself the bride the whole day, she assumed I was referring to her and went in for a kiss too.”
Bullard described the moment as “hilarious,” adding that “children in weddings always bring an extra light to the day.”

Meet Basma Hameed, a para-medical tattoo specialist who helps restore burn victims natural color of skin.

She was severely burned by hot oil in a kitchen accident when she was 2 years old. Although she underwent more than 100 procedures in an attempt to conceal her third-degree burns, parts of her face were still scarred and discolored.
After getting her eyebrows permanently tattooed on, Hameed had an epiphany.
“I saw the result immediately,” she told. “I was so happy that I thought to myself – why not do the same procedure using skin tone pigments on my scar tissue, to camouflage the discoloration.”
Hameed received training and cosmetically tattooed her own face, closely matching her original pigments.
Today, Hameed has clinics in Toronto and Chicago and lends her skills to a variety of patients.
One of her clients is Samira Omar – a 17-year-old who was beaten and had boiling water poured on her by bullies. Omar is being treated free of charge by Hameed’s foundation. She says the paramedical tattoo specialist has renewed her sense of hope.

“When she told me she could actually get my pigments back and find a skin color that could match my actual skin color, it’s just a big sigh of relief,” Omar told.
It’s exactly the emotion Hameed set out to inspire in her clients.
“When I first meet my clients they can be so shy and insecure about their respective skin conditions, but once we do few treatments they are like brand new people,” she told. “They smile, they laugh, and most importantly they feel like they can live again.”

A middle-aged woman got into an uncomfortable situation after loosing keys to her chastity belt in Padua, Italy.
After receiving a call from an agitated woman mumbling something about losing her keys firefighters in Padua assumed she had locked outside her house but when they arrived…
The crew found the helpless woman trying to set herself free from an iron chastity belt. It turned out that the woman took extreme measures to stop herself from getting into sexual relationships with men but got trapped after loosing her keys to a tricky device.
She was trying to deal with the problem on her own for some time but failed and had to call in the fire brigade. Speaking to the baffled firemen, the embarrassed woman said: “I’ve lost the keys to a lock and I can no longer open it.”
After break the padlock fire crews asked if she had been forced to wear the belt by someone else or if she was a victim of domestic violence. And were very surprised after hearing that it was the woman’s voluntarily decision to shackle herself.
A chastity belt is a locking item of clothing designed to prevent sexual intercourse or masturbation. Such belts were historically designed for women, ostensibly for the purpose of chastity, to protect women from rape or to dissuade women and their potential sexual partners from sexual temptation.

The "Wrecking Ball" singer was spotted leaving JFK Airport in New York City on Sunday night, where she appeared to be sporting a sizeable sparkler on the ring finger of her left hand.

While it's hard to be sure, the big gold band and the huge rock do look a lot like the engagement ring she got from Liam Hemsworth when he popped the question in May 2012.

While the two called off their engagement in September 2013, they have been spending a lot of time together in recent months.
Miley and the 26-year-old Hunger Games star rang in the new year together in Australiawhere the two were spotting kissing and hugging at the Falls Music & Arts Festival. Last November, Miley reunited with Liam to help him find a rescue dog to adopt.
Only time will tell if the former couple have reignited their romance, or if they're just friends and Miley loves some seriously flashy accessories.

People reports that Kris Jenner has some thoughts on her daughters various ~risque~ magazine covers. When Maria Shriver asked her what she thought of her daughters being basically naked on every magazine in the world, Kris said it's "cringeworthy."

In fact, she said that sometimes she's so pissed she will scream from the top of my lungs: "I'm not happy with this!"

"Sometimes I don't even know that they're coming out," Jenner said of the covers. "Like Kim did the picture with the [champagne coupe] on the booty, and I was like, 'Where did this come from?' I thought it was Photoshopped for a second."

Jenner went on to say if it's one of her younger daughters, Kendall or Kylie, that she'll put her foot down more: "I obviously know for the little ones because if they're under age we have somebody at every shoot. But the older ones who are in their 30s, I feel like sometimes I don't have to babysit."

However, turnabout is fair play, as Jenner said the girls are known to come for her when they think she's being a little too flirty in a shot. "They're very critical of me ... so we kind of watch out for each other. They just have a different way of doing it, and I think this generation is a little looser with things than I ever was."

Nigerians have been warned to stay away from the consumption of soaked garri, at least for now so as to prevent Lassa fever.
The warning is coming from the Medical and Health Workers Union, Lagos State Council, who on Saturday, January 17, said that it would embark on public enlightenment to discourage consumption of soaked garri for now to prevent Lassa fever.
Speaking in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in LagosRazak Adeofalade, the chairman of the union stated that house rats that caused Lassa fever are mostly in contact with Nigerian most popular food, Garri, a cassava product.
Adeofalade said: “We are going to encourage members of the public to depart from the process of drinking garri at this moment, it is better that the cassava flour is utilised for `eba,’ because of the use of hot water.
“We are waging total war and that is: `War against Rats,’ and that is what we are going to do to ensure we do not have another victim of Lassa Fever in the state.
“We will also be telling them to ensure that their fruits and raw vegetables are properly washed if they must be consumed raw and cook to the appropriate temperature.
“The whole essence is to enlighten our people because education carries a lot of weight in this whole activity.
“We call for adaptation of best practices for food storage to prevent epidemic.”
According to him, the union is determined to wage war against rat in the state and public enlightenment on fighting epidemic.
He said his members cut across all government’s hospitals and local governments and would be mobilised to start enlightenment on the evil of rodents.
“We will go into premises, market place and teach them on the best practice of storing of food items from contacts with rodents,’’ he said.
Over 45 death have been recorded in 10 states since the emergence of Lassa fever.
Olusegun Obasanjo

A former Nigeria’s president, Olusegun Obasanjo has reacted to the video showing an officer of the State Security Services (SSS) shinning the shoes of the minister of interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau.

Obasanjo via his twitter, @segunobasanjo page said it is an eyesore for a security officer to be turned into a shoe shiner by the minister.
“It’s an eyesore to see how a security officer was turned to a SHOE SHINER by Gen. Dambazau. There’s no justification for such disgusting act,” Obasanjo tweeted.
He added that: “It’s really dehumanizing for a minister to have a security officer clean his shoe in public. This is not the CHANGE Nigerians voted for!”
In a short video that went viral over the weekend, Dambazau was seen stretching his legs out while his aide, an SSS officer rubbed dust off his shoes with a white handkerchief.
Nigerians have also reacted to the shoe shinning saga with many saying it is only madness that will make anyone defend Dambazau’s embarrassing action.
Dambazau, a retired lieutenant general was appointed minister of interior under the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
He was also the chief of army staff between 2008 and 2010.
During his tenure in 2010, Dambazau withdrew all soldiers at the presidential villa to escort the body of the late president Musa Yar’adua back to Abuja without an authorization from the then acting president, Goodluck Jonathan.
Also, in 2010, the former chief of army staff was implicated in a financial fraud of awarding N9 billion peacekeeping contracts to companies allegedly owned by former Delta state governor James Ibori and an Israeli arms supplier, Alon Neiken.

David Cameron

The Prime Minister of Britain,  David Cameron on Monday, January 18, said that Muslim women who fail to learn English language to a high standard could face deportation from Britain.

Cameron’s comments came as a result of the launch of the £20 million ($28.5 million, 26 million euro) language fund for women in isolated communities as part of a drive to build community integration by the Conservatives.
According to Vanguard, he also suggested that poor English skills can leave people “more susceptible” to the messages of groups like Islamic State (IS).
Presently, immigration rules already forces spouses to speak English before they come to Britain to live with their partners. But Cameron said they would also face further tests after two and a half years in the country to make sure their language skills were improving.
It is estimated by Cameron’s government that around 190,000 Muslim women in England (about 22 %) speak little or no English.
The British prime minister said that a lack of language skills could make Muslims in Britain more vulnerable to the message of extremist groups.
He said: “But if you are not able to speak English, not able to integrate, you may find therefore you have challenges understanding what your identity is and therefore you could be more susceptible to the extremist message.”
According to Alex Forsyth, BBC’s political correspondent, the British government was absolutely not suggesting people could be deported if they failed to reach the required level, but that language skills would be one factor taken into account when deciding whether to extend a person’s right to stay.
His comments however, drew criticism from Muslim groups and opposition parties, as Mohammed Shafiq, the chief executive of the Ramadhan Foundation, which campaigns for better community relations, accused Cameron of “disgraceful stereotyping”.
Boko haram fighters

A suspected suicide bomber affiliated with the Boko Haram sect has detonated a bomb at a mosque in northern Cameroon on Monday, January 18, killing four worshipers in the process, a security source has said.

According to AFP, the suicide attack occurred in the village of Nguetchewe in the country’s border with Nigeria which is has come under constant attacks by the terrorists.
Security sources told AFP that “the suicide bomber, a young boy, arrived in the village by foot,” adding that a “witness had noticed his behaviour seemed suspicious and had tried to intercept him”.
“The bomber ran towards the mosque, where he set off the explosives he was carrying with him.”
This recent attack comes five days after a similar attack left 12 people dead. It is the second deadly blast to hit the far north in less than a week, following a bombing at a mosque in Kolofata district during morning prayers last Wednesday.
Cameroon’s far north which is notorious for Boko Haram attacks has recorded about 1,200 deaths at the hand of terrorists, according to communications minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary.
In November 2013, French priest Georges Vandenbeusch was kidnapped from Nguetchewe, with the Boko Haram Islamist group claiming responsibility. He was freed after around 50 days in captivity.
Boko Haram pledged allegiance to Islamic State (IS), according to an audio statement it posted online in March 2015, since then, the group has stepped up attacks in Nigeria and neighbouring countries. This prompted Cameroon to boost its military presence along the Nigerian border to curtail the activities of the terrorists.

Male shoppers complained about being cat-called and followed by women, with most of the complains relating to verbal harassment, the Saudi Gazette reports.
The centre's security department says CCTV footage supports the men's claims. The videos have been handed over to the police for further investigation.
The newspaper suggests the men did not file formal complains because they feared "social stigmatisation".
Men interviewed by the paper suggested the solution was to enforce even stricter punishments and restrictions against women in public.
In Saudi Arabia, religious police enforce a strict policy of gender segregation, often harassing women who do not meet conservative standards of dress in public, according to a 2005 report by the US Human Rights think-tank Freedom House.
Like many Gulf countries, Saudi Arabia has no laws against harassment. Most cases go unreported by women, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed reports.
However, over the past two years Riyadh's Justice Ministry recorded 4,000 cases of sexual harassment.

DUBAI—Firefighters contained a blaze at a Dubai luxury hotel near the world’s tallest building on Friday, the day after it erupted in flames as thousands of New Year’s Eve revelers packed the area.
Giant flames shot up the sides of the 63-story Address Downtown hotel on Thursday and continued into the morning before it was contained. Smoke billowed from the building, sending a plume over the surrounding area.
“Civil defense squads continue the cooling down process at the Address Downtown hotel,” the Dubai government said in a Friday tweet. “The rising smoke is part of this process.”
The hotel is adjacent to the Burj Khalifa and the sprawling Dubai Mall, one of the world’s largest shopping complexes. The blaze started about two hours before midnight, when tens of thousands of people had gathered in the area for the fireworks extravaganza at the Burj Khalifa. “Dubai’s successful New Year’s celebration is testimony to its steadfast commitment to its major projects and initiatives,” the government’s tweet said.
Government-owned companies were offering rooms to affected guests on Friday, according to government tweets. The government said 16 people were injured, including from smoke inhalation and a heart attack triggered as a person ran from the scene.
The fire was likely accidental, Dubai Police Chief General Khamis Mattar said Thursday. Officials didn’t suspect criminal activity. An investigation was under way to determine the cause, he added.
Downtown Dubai is a central residential, entertainment and retail area popular with local people and foreign visitors to the United Arab Emirates.
Address Downtown contains serviced apartments, along with popular restaurants and bars. It is one of a small chain of Dubai luxury hotels owned by Emaar Properties, a government-owned real estate giant. Emaar completed its construction in 2008.
Emaar representatives didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
The fire is one of several at Dubai high-rises in recent years. A blaze engulfed the Torch Tower in February. At 79 stories, Torch Tower is one of the world’s largest residential buildings.
The fires have raised questions about Dubai’s safety standards, as the emirate pushes ahead with rapid development that has in the past decade transformed it into a global business and tourism hub.
Concerns were raised about construction quality in 2012 when another fire ripped through the 34-floor Tamweel Tower in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, another upscale neighborhood on the city’s outskirts.
That fire was caused by a cigarette butt thrown in the garbage, but officials later blamed a flammable plastic at the core of the building’s outer cladding for its rapid spread
VATICAN CITY (AP) — Pope Francis on Friday called for an end to the "arrogance of the powerful" that relegates the weak to the outskirts of society, and to the "false neutrality" toward conflicts, hunger and persecution that triggers a sometimes-deadly exodus of refugees.
Welcoming the new year, Francis emphasized the need to "let ourselves be reborn, to overcome the indifference which blocks solidarity, and to leave behind the false neutrality which prevents sharing." He recommended cooperation as the way to build an "ever more just and fraternal world, a world in which every person and every creature can dwell in peace."
In his homily in St. Peter's Basilica, he reflected on the "countless forms of injustice and violence which daily wound our human family."
"Sometimes we ask ourselves how it is possible that human injustice persists unabated, and that the arrogance of the powerful continues to demean the weak, relegating them to the most squalid outskirts of our world." He continued: "We ask how long human evil will continue to sow violence and hatred in our world, reaping innocent victims."

Francis cited no country, continent or conflict. But his words clearly evoked images of the refugees and migrants, more than 1 million of whom flooded into Europe from Africa, the Middle East and Asia in 2015, on dangerous sea or overland journeys. He spoke of "witnessing hordes of men, women and children fleeing war, hunger and persecution, ready to risk their lives simply to encounter respect for their fundamental rights."
The Catholic church dedicates New Year's Day to the theme of peace, and Francis this year is stressing mercy as the path toward reconciliation.
To highlight the benefits springing from forgiveness and reconciliation in the world, Francis declared a Holy Year of Mercy, which began last month and runs through November 2016. Early Friday evening, he was to visit a Rome basilica, St. Mary Major, where he sometimes slips away to pray, to open a normally sealed Holy Door as a symbolic threshold to cross toward mercy for Catholic faithful.
