Donald Trump charges into Nevada and the mega-March primaries with a commanding lead over the GOP field after sweeping to victory Saturday in the South Carolina primary – while Hillary Clinton can breathe a sigh of relief that her firewall held just enough to beat back Bernie Sanders in Nevada, as they head to Palmetto State territory.
The outcome of Saturday’s contests helps both 2016 “front-runners” regain their footing after going one-for-one in the leadoff contests. But there are potential hurdles ahead.
The big question now looming over the GOP race is: With Jeb Bush suspending his campaign on the heels of a distant finish Saturday, where will his supporters go?
At his victory rally, Trump challenged pundits who say such votes will gravitate to his rivals. The billionaire businessman sounded a booming note of confidence as he previewed the race ahead.
“Let’s put this thing away,” Trump told cheering supporters.
Reflecting on the rough-and-tumble primary, which gave him a 10-point margin of victory, Trump also said, “When you win, it’s beautiful. “
Clinton heads into the next round in a more fragile – albeit improved – position.
Clinton has watched her lead in national polls essentially evaporate after losing big in New Hampshire. Her showing in Nevada marks a crucial victory, and she enjoys a significant advantage heading into next weekend’s South Carolina primary.
“I am so, so thrilled and so grateful to all of my supporters,” Clinton said at her Las Vegas victory rally. FOR NEVADA RESULT CLICK HERE  and  FOR SOUTH CAROLINA CLICK HEREBut her 5-point margin of victory may not be enough, at this stage, to significantly blunt Sanders’ momentum. The Vermont senator maintained he has an “excellent chance” to score some big wins in the upcoming Super Tuesday contests.
The Palmetto State, meanwhile, delivered a huge victory Saturday night on the Republican side to Trump -- while Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz were locked in a tight race for second.
Cruz nevertheless gave a fiery speech to supporters, as the senator touted his campaign’s ability to defy “expectations” and maintained that he’s the best candidate to go up against Clinton or Sanders “or whatever other socialist they nominate” on the Democratic side.
“Indeed, the screaming you hear now from across the Potomac is the Washington cartel in full terror that the conservative grassroots are rising up,” Cruz said, while suggesting he’s the only candidate who can beat Trump.
Rubio, for his part, declared: “After tonight, this has become a three-person race, and we will win the nomination.”
Rubio was in need of a recovery after stumbling in New Hampshire following a rough debate performance earlier this month. He had vowed to bounce back, and was buoyed in South Carolina by support from the state's popular governor, Nikki Haley, and other state leaders.
With Bush now out of the race, Ohio Gov. John Kasich is the only governor left standing on the GOP side. It remains unclear where his supporters will go. The only other candidate left is retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, who vowed to press on.
The GOP race heads next to Nevada and after that to Super Tuesday, representing a delegate gold mine. Even South Carolina, with 50 delegates, is the most valuable GOP primary to date. As the winner, Trump would get the lion's share.
South Carolina, historically, also is a prized contest for Republican candidates as it has a knack for picking the eventual nominee – the primary winner has gone on to claim the nomination in every race since 1980, except for 2012 when Newt Gingrich won.
The race tightened in the final days, but not enough to shake Trump's long-time advantage there. Fox News exit polls indicate significant numbers of late-deciding voters ended up supporting Cruz and Rubio, causing both candidates to perform more strongly than pre-election polling suggested.
Clinton’s Nevada win comes just a week-and-a-half after she lost to Sanders by double-digits in New Hampshire.
"To everyone who turned out in every corner of Nevada with determination and heart: This is your win. Thank you," Clinton tweeted after the race was called.
Investigators are on the hunt for an Argentinian soccer player accused of shooting and killing a referee after being booted from the match with a red card violation, The Guardian reported Tuesday.
The unnamed player reportedly pulled out the gun from his bag and shot 48-year-old César Flores three times in the head, neck and chest. Another player, Walter Zárate, was also injured, The Guardian added, citing local Córdoba media.
The shooting reportedly took place during an amateur game that the Argentina’s Football Federation did not sanction. The gunman fled the scene after firing the shots.
“It all happened during the football match. We don’t know [exactly what took place], but it appears the player was angry, fetched a gun and killed him,” police told the Efe news agency.
The incident follows a series of violent outbreaks in Argentinian soccer. Last month, a referee ordered five players off the field during a match between River Plate and Boca Juniors. Nine others were also booked during the game.
In June, a player punched a referee unconscious after being shown a yellow card during a match between Ferro and Tiro Federal, The Guardian reports

Can Leicester win the league? It's the question everyone has been debating over the weekend.
The Foxes' stunning 3-1 win at title rivals Manchester City has propelled them into a five-point advantage at the top of the Premier League with just 13 games to play.
Here, we round up views from across Sky Sports, including those of pundits, managers and journalists, on whether Claudio Ranieri's side can go all the way…
"At the moment, for me, they are THE team to win it. Not only have they shown they can win it, they've shown they can cope with the pressure. They're top of the league, they go to Manchester City and win the game 3-1 - and easily as well, it could have been four or five. They don't show they're nervous. We see a good desire. They want to grab it."
"I don't believe the bookmakers. At the beginning of the season the bookmakers said, 'sack Ranieri'. I hope one time they are right!"
Jamie Redknapp, Sky Sports.
Alan Smith
"Sky Sports Can Leicester win the league? I don't really believe in miracles but you're starting to believe in this one. The fact they've got no Europa League, no FA Cup, means it's pretty much Saturday-Saturday for them. For Ranieri that must be a joy. He can just keep them ticking over, there hasn't got to be too much training.
"Leicester have got every chance, and it's almost becoming there's to lose."
"It's right that they should be considered favourites. You beat Liverpool at home in fine style and then a few days later you go to
the Etihad and do what they did to what were then the title favourites. They absolutely wiped the floor with City."If Leicester continue playing the way they are [then they are favourites for the title]. There are 13 games more so it's difficult to predict."

Hijab fashion for the tiniest of ladies

Barbie is having a moment right now, evolving with new body shapes and blowing up on Instagram.

Barbie is having a moment right now, evolving with new body shapes and blowing up on Instagram. (Remember Socality Barbie? R.I.P.) But one young woman, 24-year-old Haneefah Adam of Nigeria, wasn't seeing any of these Barbies dressed in the same way she did — wearing modest clothing that covers the body. So, two months ago, she started her own account, called @hijarbie

In interviews with Mic and BuzzFeed, Adam explained that she makes the clothes for the Barbie dolls herself. The designs are often inspired by looks worn by popular Muslim fashion bloggers.

As chic and lovely as Hijarbie's outfits are, the best part about the whole thing is what Adam hopes to accomplish through her Instagram account.

"I want [girls] to be inspired — this is about having an alternative and creating an awareness of having toys that adopts your religion and culture and in your own likeness, which at the end of the day, leads to an improvement in self-esteem," she told Mic.

"I want [girls] to be inspired — this is about having an alternative and creating an awareness of having toys that adopts your religion and culture and in your own likeness, which at the end of the day, leads to an improvement in self-esteem," she told Mic.

"It's important to create a sense of value in the Muslim child, especially the girl child," Adam told Mic. "They become more confident, more driven, they believe more in themselves, which leads to an appreciation of herself and her modest lifestyle and upbringing. Instead of dressing up her dolls in clothes she wouldn't wear, hijabifying it will create a sense of belonging and hopefully make a positive impact."

Adam explained on Instagram that the dolls she uses for Hijarbie aren't racially diverse because she has a hard time sourcing any in Nigeria. "I'd have loved to dress up a black doll myself too," she wrote.

She also promised that Hijarbie fashions will be available for purchase soon.

She'll serve as guest co-host.

The March 2016 cover star discusses owning your femininity, equal pay, and more.

On her first career: "I always wanted to be a big action star, to be as relevant as men. I was very aggressive with the vision and manifesting it."

On owning your femininity: "Most of my life, I identified more with my masculine side. I was kind of aggressive and super masculine in my early 20s — even into my mid- 20s. I got boobs when I was young … and I was like, What do I do? … I was never the girl who they marketed. I was always feeling angry, like an impostor. I learned how to be cool with the feminine later in life."

On never doubting your own expertise: "I'm in a man's world in business. But I know what women want — [men] don't … Whenever [male colleagues] question me in meetings, I'm like, 'Go home and ask your wife. This is a pointless conversation. Go home and talk to her.' When we were talking about package designs, I was like, 'Are you really giving me notes on packaging for feminine care? I literally can't with you.'"

On equal pay: "There are not as many women in government titles, business titles. It's just not equal. And until there is equality, you're going to feel that no matter what industry you're in. But from day one, I was like, girls should have an equal seat at the table. Take Jennifer Lawrence. I mean, she's opening movies — she's the box office draw as much as any guy in the movie, if not more. She should be compensated for that."
